Wesgar was the proud recipient of the Topaz Pinnacle Award at the Manufacturing Safety Alliance of BC (MFSA) gala dinner in recognition of its recent successful development and implementation of a comprehensive health and safety management system to OSSE (Occupational Safety Standard Excellence) certification standards. The award was accepted by Micheal Wong, Health and Safety Administrator at Wesgar and members of the Joint Health and Safety Committee, Jason Watkin, Cristina Villela, and Adam Small, who attended the gala dinner on June 8, 2023.
“Achieving OSSE certification in February of this year was an important step for Wesgar,” says Michael Wong, Health and Safety Administrator of Wesgar. “Marking the occasion with a gala dinner and meeting other distinguished partners was a reminder to all of us of the importance of health and safety in our workplace. We were honored to receive the Topaz Pinnacle Award this year and look forward to continuing to improve our health and safety standards at Wesgar in the years to come—we are committed to achieving the Diamond Award.”
