Key Responsibilities:

  • Precision weld metal parts using MIG or TIG welding machines and techniques
  • Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment set up and operate Welding Machines correctly, identify machine issues and either fix or report them
  • Operate equipment safely according to their intended use
  • Handle incoming and outgoing parts safely and with care to avoid damage or injury.
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear PPE as required
  • Assist with the maintenance and repair of welding, brazing and soldering equipment
  • May adjust welding heads and tooling according to work specifications

 

Qualifications and experience:

  • Good Mechanical Blueprint reading skills
  • Ability to communicate in English
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Mechanical Aptitude
  • A positive attitude and self motivated with a strong work ethic
  • Punctual and reliable
  • High school
  • 1 year’s experience in metal fabrication industry
  • Need to have the particular PPE (mandatory)

LOCATION

Key Responsibilities

  • Dress metal parts and remove surface imperfections
  • Using pneumatic air tools for extended periods of time in a standing position to prepare various metal part for cosmetic paint finishes by body working
  • Grinding and sanding to the desired finish class required by each customer
  • Set up and operate dressing equipment and tools correctly, identify issues and fix or report them.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Operate equipment safety according to their intended use.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing parts safety and with care to avoid damage or injury.
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear PPE as required.

 

Qualifications and skills:

  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • A positive attitude and self motivated with a strong work ethic.
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Body work experience with cosmetic grinding is an asset.
  • Must be able to work with power tools, angle grinders, sander drills.
  • Good eye hand coordination
  • Able to stand for extended period

Experience:

  • Over a year of experience in metal fabrication and cosmetic grinding.

We are seeking a CAD-SolidWorks Manager to lead our engineering team in creating high-quality designs, drawings, NC programs, and work instructions for fabricated sheet metal products. In this role, you will mentor a talented team and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality across departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the engineering team, ensuring timely and accurate deliverables.
  • Mentor, train, and support team members in CAD and engineering processes.
  • Serve as the primary engineering contact for manufacturing, sales, estimating, and customer service teams.
  • Collaborate with customers and suppliers as needed.
  • Develop and implement engineering standards and procedures.
  • Manage scheduling, task delegation, and payroll-related reporting for the department.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives across engineering and other departments.

Desired Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
  • Strong background in sheet metal design and manufacturing.
  • Experience with CNC programming (e.g., laser cutting, punching, bending).
  • Familiarity with MRP/ERP software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint).

Additional Assets:

  • Expertise in SolidWorks VBA Macro programming.
  • Familiarity with Prima-Power NC Express, Trumpf TruTops, Salvagnini, or Epicor ERP software.
  • Experience with robotics, automation, product design, and cost estimation.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or diploma in mechanical engineering, manufacturing, or equivalent experience.
  • SolidWorks certification is an asset.

An opportunity to join our growing team has become available and we are currently seeking an experienced Programmer.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Interpret customer drawings, blueprints and work instructions
  • Create parts, assemblies, and drawings using SolidWorks
  • Use NC Express software to create NC programs for Finn-Power turret punch presses
  • Use TruTOPS Punch software to create NC programs for Trumpf punch presses
  • Use TruTOPS Laser software to create NC programs for Trumpf laser cutting machine
  • Use TruTOPS Bend software to create NC programs for Trumpf press brakes

 

Skills and Attributes:

  • Able to follow instructions both written and verbal
  • Good problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Good blueprint reading skills
  • Adept at understanding sheet metal manufacturing
  • Great attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact positively with others
  • Works independently with limited supervision, but knows when to ask questions

 

Experience/Qualifications:

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment in a similar industry is an asset
  • Good SolidWorks experience, particularly in a fast-paced production environment
  • NC Programming (especially laser, punching, and/or bending) experience is an asset
